5. Email communications and MailerLite
When you request a free guide, video series or other email resource, your name and email address may be processed through MailerLite. Where double opt-in is enabled, you must confirm your email address before receiving the series. You may unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential messages about a booking, payment, course or account.

6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use necessary cookies for security, page operation, account sessions and saved preferences. Optional analytics, embedded-media or marketing technologies may also be used where enabled. More information is available in our Cookie Policy.

7. When information may be shared
We may share only the information reasonably necessary with:

instructors, facilitators and authorised SDS personnel who need it to provide services;
website hosting, email, learning-platform, booking, communications and payment providers acting for us;
a parent, guardian, sponsoring school or organisation where authorised or required for the programme;
professional advisers, insurers, auditors or authorities where reasonably necessary; and
law-enforcement, regulatory or governmental bodies where required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information.

8. International service providers
Some technology providers may process or store information outside The Bahamas. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and limit information to what is needed for the service.

9. Children and young learners
Some SDS programmes are intended for teenagers. Where a learner is under the applicable age for independent consent, a parent or legal guardian must authorise enrolment and the handling of information required to provide the service. We do not knowingly use a child’s information for unrelated marketing without appropriate permission.

10. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, student and business records, dispute resolution, safety, and legal or accounting requirements. We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to provide access to personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, or consider a request to delete or restrict information. Some records may need to be retained for legal, safety, accounting or contractual reasons. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time.

To make a request, contact support@simmonsdrivingschool.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

12. External websites
Our website may link to external websites or services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators, and you should review their policies before providing personal information.

13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal obligations. The revised date will appear at the top of this page.

14. Governing framework
This policy is intended to support our responsibilities under the laws of The Bahamas, including the Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act, 2003, as amended or replaced. Questions or complaints may also be directed to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of The Bahamas.
